Creating Account Groups

Do you have an immediate problem or feedback about Account Groups? Please email us at wealthtracker@stifel.com for more help.

Once you have a number of accounts in Stifel Wealth Tracker, you will need an easier way to select different sets of them. Whether you are looking at the Net Worth History on the Home Page, or checking out recent transactions on the Activity Page, you might want to quickly switch between a "Retirement" account group and a "Kids" account group.

Custom account groups allow you easily switch your view between sets of accounts without selecting and unselecting each account, every time. Your custom account groups are always available for selection at the top of the Account Selection Dropdown:

Create and Edit Custom Account Groups

To manage your custom account groups, use the Menu to go to the Manage Accounts Page. Once there, find the Account Groups section, which allows you to create a new group or edit an existing one.

Account Groups can contain any kind of account, so they are a perfect way to analyze Synced Accounts and Manual Accounts together for aggregate analysis.

Common Questions

What is the difference between account categories and account groups?

Every account is automatically assigned an Account Category (like Investments, Banking, or Liabilities) based on its type. The Account Category cannot be changed.

Account Groups are created by you. You can use them to make it easier to quickly switch between sets of accounts in the Account Selection Dropdown. For example, you could create a "Kids" Account Group and assign accounts from several different categories to it.
